Little Boy’s Meeting with God

There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He packed a small bag with sweet cakes and bottles of root beer, then started walking.

After a few streets, he saw an old woman in the park. She sat quietly, watching the pigeons. The boy sat beside her and opened his bag. The woman looked hungry, so he offered her a cake. She smiled such a warm smile that he wanted to see it again. He offered her a drink. She smiled once more.

They sat all afternoon, eating and smiling. They did not need many words. When evening came, the boy hugged her goodbye. Her biggest smile lit up the whole park.

At home, his mother asked, “Why do you look so happy?”

“I had lunch with God,” he said. “She has the most beautiful smile!”

At the same time, the old woman returned home glowing with joy. Her son asked, “Mother, why are you so peaceful?”

“I ate cakes in the park with God,” she said. “And you know what? He is much younger than I expected!”

Moral

God’s love can be felt when we share happiness and make others smile. Kindness helps us see the good in one another.
